How Does Temp Mail Work?

Temp Mail works much like a simplified email service.

When you visit a temporary email provider, the service may automatically generate an email address for you. Depending on the provider, you may also be able to select or customize part of the address.

A typical address could look something like:

example123@temporary-domain.com

The temporary mail server is configured to receive messages sent to that address.

The basic process is:

Step 1: Generate a temporary address

Open a Temp Mail service and obtain a temporary email address.

Step 2: Copy the address

Copy the generated address and use it on the website or application where an email address is required.

Step 3: Wait for the email

When the website sends a verification or confirmation message, the Temp Mail provider receives it.

Step 4: Check your temporary inbox

Return to your temporary mailbox. New messages usually appear automatically or after refreshing the inbox.

Step 5: Read the message

You can then open the received email and access the information you need.

Depending on the service, the address, inbox, or individual messages may eventually expire or be deleted.
